FordFair, the UK’s premier Ford show, has decided not to run the Concours competition this year.
While Concours always attracts some stunning cars and is a hotly contested competition, it’s important to us that the show is constantly evolving and it’s been decided that we will instead focus our efforts on making the Show & Shine contest the best of its type in the country.
While it has long been a tradition at FordFair, participation numbers for Concours have gradually reduced and by merging it with Show & Shine, it opens the field to more cars and more people.
However, Concours isn’t lost to the Ford scene as we will instead be running it at the newly-revamped FordFest, which will be held over two days this year at the brilliant East of England Arena & Events Centre.
FordFest promises to be a jam-packed weekend and will be the perfect season-closer for the blue oval scene, so we think there’s no better place to run a revitalised Concours competition – and we can’t wait to see some of the entries!
We’ll release more details both on FordFair’s Show & Shine and FordFest’s Concours in the coming weeks.
